Becoming a facilitator

21-May-2009

Learning the skills required to be a good facilitator:

Can include:

  • Participating in a Study Circle
  • Leading a Study Circle
  • Appreciating local knowledge
  • Case studies
  • Reading
  • TAFE Certificate
  • Graduate Certificate

On this site you will find  material that has been developed and collected by the Centre to assist in the process of local planning for community visions.

Part of that process is giving local people the skills and experience to create positive conversations that lead to real outcomes - i.e. being a skilled facilitator!

We think that means creating pathways. That is - somewhere to start; opportunities; access, encouragement; training; employment; mentors; directions; signposts and outcomes.

This site will, over time, reflect what we have learned about creating those pathways.
