The Centre for Rural Communities was formed in 1995 to work towards the development of rural communities that are socially, environmentally and economically sustainable. The Centre’s vision is of people and place existing in harmony.
The Centre is an independent incorporated association that is mainly supported by the work of rural people. It has received funding from Monash University and a number of philanthropic trusts. The Centre seeks partnerships with government, communities and industry.
